Port de Valldemossa
Fishermen didn’t start to build houses at Port de Valldemossa or Port de Sa Marina until around 1870, as the threat of pirate attacks during earlier centuries prevented the formation of coastal settlements. It was more than just a fishing village right from its foundation, as it also contained second homes for people wishing to spend summer here. The boats here are stored out of the water, either in fishing huts or on the shore of the small, pebbly beach, which is 50 m long and 15 m wide. The only services to be found here are a few restaurants.
