Every Wednesday, the famous hippy market of Ibiza is held in Es Canar.
In the summer months, small boats set out from Es Canar Port for Ibiza city, Santa Eulària and even as far as Formentera. There is also a small train that makes its way around the streets and takes tourists on excursions into the inland areas of the island.
In addition to the stroll along the esplanade that runs along the beach, Es Canar makes a perfect base for pleasant, longer outings. Heading north, you can easily reach the coves of Cala Nova and Cala Llenya, idyllic spots for swimming, along paths with good places to stop and rest along the way. The beaches of Cala Martina and S’Argamassa lie 2 kilometres south in the direction of Santa Eulària.
