That’s why this day Manacor enjoys such a lively atmosphere, not just in the market, which is one of the biggest on the island, but also in the shops, bars and restaurants.
The flea market in Consell on Sunday
On Sunday in Consell there is the only real weekly flea market on Mallorca. There you can get what for some is simply trash, and for others are unique antiques.
Sineu on Wednesday
Sineu has every Wednesday one of the most popular markets on Mallorca, which use to be a farmer’s market, where you can still get fruit and vegetables directly from the farmers, as in many other markets on Mallorca indeed. Through the narrow streets from Sineu, you can find nice crafts among the usual cheap staff, sold on open air markets. Remembering old times, when cattle was traded there, on market day there is an animals exhibition, which kids love it. Sineu is always busy on that day, that’s why is a good idea to go there by train, although there are parking facilities. The train line between Palma and Mancor stops in Sineu, next to the market.
The crafts market in Pollença on Sunday
Pollença is always worth a visit, specially on Sunday morning when the crafts market takes place. There you will find more or less the same as in other markets on Mallorca, like fruits, vegetables, cold meats, cheese and other foods, cheap clothes or Africans selling cheap electronics, sun glasses or whatever you can imagine. But the market in Pollença is somehow different, not just because of its charming old town, but also because there gather a much bigger number of stalls selling crafts, than in other markets on Mallorca.
Felanitx on Sunday
If you need to buy something on Sunday morning, Felanitx is your town. In addition to a huge and crowded market, you will find all shops open, from the drug-store to the pets shop.
